Still-Life Studies

Purpose:

To use strong compositional skills to depict a fruit or vegetable,

To use knowledge of color and a variety of brush strokes to paint a still-life

As I begin my final still life I will remember to be careful not to get too picky about the details until I finish the painting. I think that the complimentary color scheme worked especially well when the background was dark and the subject bright. In my final piece I think I will paint a looser painting style and a complimentary color scheme.
